Atlantic City-Kevin Hart

Hey Divas! Well I wanted to shoot a post about my trip to AC to see Kevin Hart last night! First of all this was my first time in AC (here for the weekend) and my first time seeing KH live. I wanted to look good so I put a little something together. I have micro braids right now so it took no time to get my hair together. Kevin Hart is the best live and in color! If you've never seen him live, be sure to grab a ticket when he comes to your city! I cant remember when I've laughed that hard! Hope you like the look and be sure to comment and subscribe!

Twist Out- Transitioning

Morning Divas! It's been a while but I'm still here! Wanted to share and show the progress of me transitioning from relaxed to natural hair. It's been about a year and two months and my progress is terrific! Right now the style I've been rocking the most has been the 2-strand twist with the rods on the ends. It's an easy, yet funky style to rock as a naturalista! Below are a few photos...be sure to comment and subscribe as well!

My first Natural Twist Out!

Hey Divas! It's been a while but I'll never go away too long! Anyhoo, I'm still in my transitional phase of going natural and it's going pretty well. My hair is healthy and is growing tremendously! A few days ago I did my first twist out! I washed and conditioned my hair like I normally do. I used a spray bottle with water, to keep my hair moist during the twist up, Design Essentials Natural Curl Stretching Cream, to hold the actual twist and Cold Wave Rods on the ends of my hair where I still have relaxer left. After I finished I covered my hair with a satin bonnet and let it air dry. The next morning I took the rollers out, untwisted my hair and it was cute! I loved it! Hope you do as well. Design Essentials Co-Wash pt.2

Morning Divas! Well, this morning I'm showing you the end results of my pin curled co-wash using all DE products. After unwrapping my hair I took all the pins out. Sprayed my hair with a little of DE's Reflections and used a little Edge Control on my edges and fly aways and that's it! Hope you like the look! Design Essentials Co-Wash pt 1

Hello Divas! Today I decided to do a co-wash in between my salon visits. Due to the fact that I am transitioning from relaxed to natural hair, I'm trying to keep my hair as healthy as possible. Today I started by applying Design Essentials' Express Instant Moisturizing Conditioner to my dry hair. I applied it as if I were applying a relaxer. I then covered my hair with a plastic cap for about an hour. After that I rinsed and re-applied and massaged my hair and scalp as I would with shampoo, in order to remove any dirt and/or product build up. Next I rinsed and applied DE's Stimulations Super Moisturizing Conditioner. This conditioner acts as a "deep conditioner". I re-covered my hair with a plastic cap and allowed that to sit for 30 minutes. After rinsing I then applied a generous amount of DE's HCO Leave-In Conditioner and Blow Drying Lotion. This does a really good job of protecting the hair from heat damage. I then parted my hair in 4 sections and air formed each section until dry. After that I used Cantu's pomade to hydrate my scalp before flat-ironing. Lastly, I went through and curled my hair using a flat iron so that I could pin curl the hair easily. And that was it! I tied it down with a satin scarf and covered it with a satin bonnet. I will upload pics of the final look tomorrow before work!

Natural Warm Hues

Hello Divas! What's the t-e-e lol? I know I haven't been on like I
should but I really am doing my best to blog and post looks more
often! The look below can be an everyday look because the colors
aren't too bright or too dark. Now that I'm transitioning from relaxed
hair to natural hair I wanted to tone down just a bit. Only until I
get use to the natural me. Please comment, rate and subscribe! You can
also follow me on Twitter @PrimpednPainted. I'll be blogging
soon...smooches!
